Guidelines For Reducing Cancer

I find life to be interesting and sometimes a little confusing. Well, the source of my confusion was profoundly demonstrated a couple of weeks as citizens of the world were observing or shall I say celebrating World Food Day. World Food Day is commemorated every year on October 16.

The significance of this day is to be in solidarity with the masses that go hungry day in and day out - and it is over 900 million people; about 350 million of whom are in Africa.
Shocked? That is the reality of the world we live in. Coupled with this is the plight of poor and over nutrition that leads to more deaths as a result of nutrition related non-communicable diseases. If I were to ask which is the lesser of the two evils, I would be hard pressed to get an answer - at least a morally and ethically correct one at that.
Somehow it would appear that the more sophisticated we get scientifically, technologically, nutritionally, medically, industrially, and the more food and incomes we have the more in danger we fall. Ironic indeed!
