Film production company AV Communications has sued reggae musician 'Master D' (Keabetswe Sesinyi) after a dispute over the just concluded TV talent search show Pop Star Botswana. The company, which claims to be the former partner of Master D in the music show is demanding 30 percent of the shares.

They want their case to be heard by the courts before Master D flies out to London, where he has promised to take two outstanding singers in the show, Tshepo Dikomang and Kabo Matlho, for a recording and marketing and distribution deal with EMI UK.
Lawyer Dick Bayford represents AV Communications in the case.

The director of the company, Golden Bafana has told Showbiz that they are suing Master D for breach of contract. "We believe we have shares in Pop Star Botswana. We established it with Master D in the beginning before he somersaulted along the way upon realising that it has become a hit," said Bafana. "When this project started, we were approached as partners by Master D who did not have a Thebe to start it.
