Boza: the new kid on block

Lebogang Aaron Sedumedi, aka Boza, a young and enthusiastic upcoming local artist from Tlokweng, is the latest shooting star in this thriving music genre. Many people wonder why this genre has been the most successful in Botswana.

The answer lies in the fact that apart from Kanda Bongoman and Koffi Olimide, there are no other current top superstars in this genre around the world to benchmark our artists against. Therefore, they have been able to carve a niche for themselves without being compared to anyone as it happens with pop, kwaito, R&B, house, jazz and hip-hop.
