The event was mostly attended by the elderly and enjoyed both the food and the powerful Setswana song lyric.

While Solly Sebotso of pidi pidi fame and Ramonyaku set the tone for the night it was Ditiro Leero who heated up the stage. He arrived on stage with Mmaratwa and the two created a perfect collaboration.

Ditiro sang some of his old songs like mme mpeole ditedu before giving Mmaratwa to sing her popular song called setilo. The audience listened attentively as the two powerful lyricists displayed their talent on stage.

Mmaratwa then concluded the collaborative performance by singing another popular song called rangasi. After that, the level went up when Gong Master who was also an MC at the event changed his clothes to traditional attire.

He began his performance by doing freestyle on a polka instrumental. Gong Master later during

his performance invited Ditiro over for yet another thrilling collaboration.

They performed socialise, a song from the album they did together back in 2008. The audience got on their feet and started dancing around in circles.

Gong Master and Ditiro put the icing on the cake by singing two songs from that album; makanyane and letlapa le ikadile.

The spectators were about to go back to their chairs but Dr Vom would not let them when he arrived on stage with his classical thobane hit. More emphatic than ever, Dr Vom’s choir increased as he joined the audience to showcase the power of dikhwaere.

Dr Vom, whose songs get better with age, performed tlhabano before concluding with the performance of the song city. Overall it was a successful cultural night as people were enjoying the arrival of the spring season.
