Clinical Ostriches crush hopes of a dream final

Orapa United tore into shreds a script crafted by some fans, as the diamond miners ended hopes of a dream Gaborone derby Mascom Top 8 final. The Ostriches took Gaborone United to the cleaners in the second semi-final on Saturday.

Most fans were unequivocal in their choice for a final pitting the veterans of the Gaborone derby, Township Rollers and GU, when the semi-final draw was conducted at the bus rank last month.

Rollers played their part and dismissed Jwaneng Galaxy, although it was via the away goals rule, as the two-legged tie ended 3-3 on aggregate.
