The auditing firm will sponsor four youth cyclists from the club until June next year.

KPMG will pay entrance fees for Kitso Moseki, Lotlaamoreng Ikaneng, Kopano Kgosibodiba and Matlhogonolo Botlhole to participate in road or mountain cycling events throughout Botswana and across the region.

It has also provided modern cycling kits to members of the youth development team. KPMG will support the JohnMol Cycling Club with access to banners, marquees and other support at formal events. It was also announced that KPMG staff will act as mentors for the youth cyclists. The firm also has a cycling club which is maded up of staff.

Speaking at the launch of the sponsorship, managing partner at KPMG, Nigel Dixon-Warren said as part of the firm’s corporate social programme, they found it fit to partner with the Ramotswa club.

things, but we just wanted to get involved. We have decided to go ahead with the programme of supporting developing cyclists.

We realised that the country has too much talent in that regard and want to support that,” he said. Moseki is currently the Under-17 road champion while Ikaneng is the runner up.

Kgosibodiba on the other hand is the silver medallist in mountain biking while Botlhole is the bronze medallist. JohnMol chairperson, Karabo Moleetsane promised KPMG that the boys will carry the firm’s brand with pride.

He said it started in 2008 when they ran a small bicycle shop together with coach, Jerry Kokwane.

“We then decided to run a cycling club based in Ramotswa. We are now working towards forming a fully operational school of excellence. We have two fully qualified coaches and the first locals to acquire that accreditation,” he said.
