Fake Olopeng account raises musicians� hopes

Musicians had their hopes up only to have them come crashing down to the ground this week following a message promising a lucrative sponsorship deal on Facebook.

It has now come to light that the Facebook post allegedly belonging to Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development (MYSC) minister, Thapelo Olopeng promising that 20 musicians would be sponsored with P100,000 each, is fake. 

The fake statement was posted on Monday and by Tuesday it had already been shared more than 600 times.
