Debswana engineer drowns in swimming pool

PALAPYE: A 33-year-old employee of Debswana Mine in Orapa drowned in a swimming pool at Thakadu Hotel in Letlhakane on Sunday.

The man, who worked as an engineer at the mine, met his untimely death when he was swimming with his friends while enjoying their afternoon drinks.

“He drowned at around 4pm,” Superintendent Michael Maphephu of Letlhakane Police Station told Mmegi yesterday.
