Talented commercial model and artist, Nandi Gleeson has founded N’Henna Designs that mainly specialises in the art of Henna/Mehendi.

In an interview with Showbiz, she said people who loved her art inspired and encouraged her to start up a brand. “I started working on my brand beginning of this year after realising that a lot of females loved this Indian culture and wanted it for their events,” she said. She highlighted that she is trying to diversify her art into today’s society preferences.

The passionate Gleeson stated that she learnt henna on her own by just drawing flowers, watching videos on YouTube and reading tutorial articles. She said that she gets materials from different sources and sometimes makes it her own. “Henna is created from an organic paste made with herbal ingredients including vegetables, spices and olive oil. The paste I use is 100% safe and good for skin,” she said. The young artist said that she mainly works with her co-artist Tamiya Gleeson. Gleeson said that she is constantly asked questions like “will it show if I’m dark? Am I light enough?” She emphasised that every skin colour shade is beautiful and henna shows on every skin tone. “I have a variety of different colours of henna for the customer to choose from,” she said.
