Court to set trial dates for former Moeding students

LOBATSE: Trial dates are expected to be set today in a case in which at least eight former Moeding college students face charges of malicious damage to government property worth P300,000.

Leatile Ntwaetsile, Martin Chico, Moyombuya Sipho, Arnold Botlhoko, Tefo Mmualefhe, Tshenolo Serame, Modisaotsile Moretele and Brian Motlhagatsane are alleged to have assembled immediately after their examinations last year and went on a rioting rampage. The accused persons are aged between 18 and 20 years.

The students are alleged to have broken 25 classroom windows, destroyed an unquantified number of plumbing pipes before proceeding to damage at least four doors at the boys’ hostel.
