BMD NEC Might Ignore Constitution At Congress � Morima

Political analyst Anthony Morima says he fears that the Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) national executive committee (NEC) might not follow the constitution in order to do what they want.

The expelled members,who include president, Ndaba Gaolathe, vice president, Wynter Mmolotsi, Women’s league president, Joyce Mothudi, Pako Keokilwe, Harriet Rampa, former BMD youth president Phenyo Segokgo, are banking on the congress to save them.

The BMD congress will be held in two weeks time and in its constitution, article 14.3 gives it the right and power to review, ratify, alter or rescind any decision taken by any of the constituent bodies, organs, units or officials of the movement before election of NEC.
