From the Kgalagadi Desert that has deceived many imperialists who thought there was no life apart from these shrubs comes a new band that blooms like a beautiful rose in the middle of nowhere. A year ago in Kuruman, South Africa during the Kgalagadi Jazz Festival, a new band was born. It was brainchild of Tumi Peter of BakTu Musik and Tomeletso Sereetsi of Sereetsi and the Natives.

“The initial idea was to have a band of Setswana speakers,” says Sereetsi.
