Prison escapee dies in hospital

FRANCISTOWN: Charlotte Ndlovu, one of the 18 inmates who escaped from the Francistown Centre for Illegal Immigrants recently, has died at Nyangabgwe Hospital after his recapture, police have confirmed. Ndlovu from Zimbabwe, was facing a single count of murder.

Gerald Estate station commander, Edward Leposo said yesterday,  Ndlovu died at Nyangabgwe last week Thursday where he was hospitalised after his arrest.

Ndlovu bolted out from the slammer together with 14 of his countrymen and three Batswana recently. Eight of the escapees have been rearrested.
