Minister Slumber Tsogwane has issued a writ of Rasesa by-election to be held this Saturday

The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) candidate for Rasesa ward, Dan Molokwe says he is worried by youth unemployment in hisr area. The Rasesa by-election follows the death of its area councillor, Seasebeng Monyake who died in a car accident near the Belabela farms turn-off last year.

If voted for in the by-election on February 11, Molokwe says he plans to help the youth in the area access government programmes, especially the Youth Development Fund (YDF).  “Most of the youth in our area have not been able to access government programmes. The majority of our youth are roaming the streets,” Molokwe said in an interview yesterday.

“Again, destitutes in our area are not getting the help they need. The social workers are not assessing people. We have more destitutes that need help,” Molokwe said. He also intends to help Village Development Committee (VDC) to raise funds. He said the committee is failing to implement its plans in the ward because of lack of funds.
