He was appointed last year replacing Keith Masters who has since returned to his home country, England.

“The Botswana Football Association informs its partners, the football fraternity, all stakeholders and general public that Kitso Kemoeng will no longer serve as secretary general/chief executive officer.

The separation is on amicable terms and the association thanks him for his contribution to football during his tenure,” BFA public relations officer, Tumo Mpatane said in a statement.

At the time when he was suspended, the association had stated that they carefully considered a number of occurrences with respect to his office.

“The decision was taken in order to give the

secretary general an opportunity to respond to issues raised by the NEC with him to facilitate quick return to focusing on matters of football development,” BFA president, Maclean Letshwiti said at the time through a statement. During his suspension, Susan Lawrence has been acting in the position.

The association also confirmed the suspension of the Botswana Premier League (BPL) finance manager, Bosebogile Mpiwa. Mpiwa follows his boss, Bennett Mamelodi who is also still serving suspension.

Mamelodi was suspended and later reinstated before he was suspended again. The reasons for Mpiwa’s suspension were not revealed with the association citing professional courtesy and respect.
