“Food is part of our culture and we want to cultivate the spirit of botho through this event,” she said. She also said the food festival will contribute positively and extend more tolerance towards indigenous foods. Nkonjera said the event will provide a platform for people from all walks of life to understand each other’s culture and taste local food. “We introduce dishes like seswaa to non-nationals and in return they will learn more about our culture,” she highlighted.
