We will cut red tape in business, Khama pledges

Officially opening the biennial NBC, which brought together the captains of industry, Khama said: “Government is implementing a doing business reforms roadmap and action plan with a view to addressing administrative, legal and structural bottlenecks”.
The theme of the three-day conference, which ends today is ‘Botswana at 50: Celebrating success and strengthening the public private sector partnership for sustained prosperity’. Khama boasted about the record in managing the economy judiciously and prudently during the last 50 years, the stable multiparty democracy and a good and independent legal system.
