Pula! by Mophato Dance Theatre

The story line depicts various rituals societies and tribes have used for the past 50 years, to ask for rain. It investigates why we haven’t experienced constant heavy rainfall despite society's efforts.

The production demonstrates different rituals from Wosana, Seperu, Tsutsube with an integration of African contemporary movements. To add on ,there is an inclusion of Christianity to represent various societies that reside in Botswana. The piece is a true representation of Botswana and Batswana as it portrays our struggles as a nation and how we come together to fight a situation.
