Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) chairperson, Solly Reikeletseng has expressed concern over the drawn out football saga. Reikeletseng, speaking to Monitor Sport yesterday said the crisis that has engulfed football was worrisome.

“It is worrisome. The BFA (Botswana Football Association) leadership has to stand up and act decisively. If nothing is forthcoming, we will have to intervene in good time. This is about selfish interests and is a self made crisis,” Reikeletseng said.

He said they are still waiting for feedback from the BFA after a meeting among the soccer body, the BNSC and the Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture, Thapelo Olopeng last month. “At that meeting, we had resolved that the BFA goes back and try to find solutions as quickly as possible. What is happening at the moment is not a true representation of what football should be,” he said.
