Accident claims two lives

FRANCISTOWN: Tutume police are investigating a head on collision in which two men lost their lives along the Tutume/Nshakazhobgwe road last Saturday.

“We are investigating a head-on accident involving two cars, a Toyota Allex and Nissan Sunny which occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning in which both drivers lost their lives. The accident occurred 20km from Tutume near where it used to be called Mpane-wa-Seretse bus stop in Nshakazhogwe,” Tutume police station commander Superintendent Jerry Halahala confirmed.

He said that the Toyota Allex was travelling from Tutume towards Sebina while the Nissan Sunny with two people, a man and his wife was heading  in the opposite direction. The deceased are locals aged between 30-45 years and their bodies are currently at the Tutume Primary Hospital mortuary waiting for a post-mortem.
