With just under one week before the New Year, the Botswana Police Service (BPS) have expressed concern on the rising numbers of fatal road accidents.

Head of Traffic, Assistant Commissioner Katholo Mosimanegape told Mmegi that as from December 1, to December 23 they have recorded a total number of 24 fatal road accidents, which led to 45 people dying. 

“Since beginning of this month until the yesterday (December 23) we have recorded a total of 24 fatal road accidents, which have produced 45 fatalities,” he said.
