Ode To Days Gone By

The days that gone by are days we look back on fondly. Humans used to be humans the creation of God, people used to respect law and order and they respected one another. Children respected adults and even the birds of the sky sang innocent songs.

Gone are those days when the moonshine meant  a lot to the sons of the soil, there were many interpretations attached to the light, the heat from the sun,followed by corocodiles and hippos basking in the sun because it was a sign the rain was coming.

From the North and from the South, the steam engines numbers 39, 45 and 52 were heard pushing and manoeuvring through the thick forests of Kalahari, like snakes from the thick forests we could hear the hisses and feel the aroma from the lakes of Kasane,the breeze from  the Chobe river.
