Govt replaces cattle in zone 6 and 7

Government has decided to replace some of the restocked cattle that died recently in Zone 6 and 7.

A release from the Ministry of Agriculture says farmers will be compensated for cattle that can be proven to have died since the commencement of the restocking exercise in May 30, 2013 until February 2014.

Cattle that died out of negligence or were slaughtered for consumption will not be covered by this dispensation. Simailarly those which were restocked outside zones 6 and 7 are excluded. Farmerts are requested to present evidence of death of their cattle to veterinary staff deployed at dikgotla  at the following villages from 25-29 June 2014 from 730am-430pm.
