Gumbo in line for Warriors job?

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has reportedly invited newly appointed Mochudi Centre Chiefs' coach, Rahman Gumbo to apply for the Warriors job.

The association has run advertisements in the Zimbabwean media inviting applications for the post. Gumbo, winner of the be MOBILE League title with Township Rollers last season, said he is aware of ZIFA's interest although they have not yet communicated with him officially.

Sources close to the coach revealed that ZIFA technical director, Nelson Matongorere asked Gumbo to apply for the post late last week, signalling that the association has earmarked him for the job. The new coach will take over from Sunday Chidzambwa. "It is only a rumour that ZIFA are interested in my services because nothing has been communicated to me officially.
