Botswana sprinter Thabiso Sekgopi won the men 100 meters B race on Wednesday to secure a spot in the finals.

The young sprinter managed to clock 10.79 seconds that also made him to be the only athlete from Botswana to get the first position in all the Africa Youth Games athletic races that were hosted on Wednesday at the National Stadium.

The 100m race finals are on Thursday afternoon.
