The Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) never ceazes to amaze – be it in the poor examination results, four ministers, or its unending fight with teachers and their trade unions. The ministry never misses an opportunity to make headlines for the wrong reasons. Just what is wrong with this ministry?

On Monday, four deputy permanent secretaries went to the National Assembly where the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is currently sitting to examine state expenditure for the financial year 2013-2014.
