Zambian Minister of Sport, Youth and Child Development, Kenneth Chipungu has been on a two-day visit to Botswana to hold talks with his counterpart, Shaw Kgathi. Chipungu was invited by Botswana for the visit because his country has excelled in sport.

Kgathi said this week that the two countries have a long standing relationship in many fronts. “Botswana and Zambia have excellent bi-lateral relations. The historic ties of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation continue to grow both in depth and breadth.  This visit will enhance our cooperation in the fields of sport and youth development,” he said. He said he is particularly delighted that as ministers responsible for sport and youth development, they have the opportunity to exchange views and experiences.

“There can be no doubt that as ministers responsible for sport we have a lot to discuss bilaterally as well as exchange views on regional and international matters concerning sport,” Kgathi said.
