Strong field expected for Central Open

A strong field of golfers is expected at the Puma Energy Central Open golf championship that starts today at the Selebi-Phikwe Golf Club.

Puma Energy sponsors the competition to the tune of P50, 000, an increase from last year’s P30, 000. Botswana Golf Union (BGU) secretary general, Mpho Kelosiwang told Mmegi Sport this week the tournament will start with the Championship Division on Friday.

He said the players would play over 54 holes. The rest of the players will join the competition on Saturday and Sunday.
