The Selebi-Phikwe club has been hit by divisions among officials and hopefully after today's elections there will be a closing of ranks and harmony. The elections will be held in Area 1 of Selebi-Phikwe. The outgoing committee has been accused of making unpopular decisions that did harm than good to the team.

"The most infamous decision that the committee made was to relegate Paymaster (Dintwa) and Peter (Mochina) from the technical bench when Madinda (Ndlovu) was roped in as the head coach. The guys had done well to guide the team to avoid relegation last season," a source told Monitor Sport. The duo did not take their demotion kindly and subsequently Dintwa resigned a very bitter man. Mochina has since been made assistant coach.
