Sabure struggles in title defence

Sabure started with a draw against Alaa El-Din Yosra of Egypt and then a win over Namibia's Celeste Swartz. In the third round, she was beaten by the current Africa junior champion and Woman International Master (WIM) Mellisa Greeff of South Africa. It would seem that Sabure is still struggling with the loss of form that has characterised her play in recent months.
