Professional boxers allowed to fight amateurs

The Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) has finalised a decision to allow professional boxers to participate in amateur tournaments. This comes after BoBA’s deal in implementing the International Boxing Association (IBA) rule that allows professional boxers to participate in amateur tournaments.

This saw some local professional pugilists raise their concerns. 

Botswana has been lagging behind in implementing the IBA rule, arguing there were certain aspects to be considered before implementation.
