Premier League Honours Achievers

The Premier League and its sponsors Mascom Wireless Botswana honoured players, officials and journalists who performed with distinction during the 2006-2007 season. The event was held at the Boipuso Hall on Friday night.

Speaking at the occasion, Mascom Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jose Geraldes Gomes said that he is happy the running of the league has improved tremendously. He told the gathering that the development does not mean there is no room for improvement. Unlike in the 2005-2006 season, there were fewer postponements of games. "Through Mascom, the league has become competitive," Gomes said.

The general manager of the South African Premier Soccer League, Andrew Dipela advised those running the Botswana Mascom Premier League that to be successful, they need a strong administration and leadership.
