Notwanes fate hangs in the balance

Notwane’s chances of staying in the beMOBILE Premier League now hang in the balance after they failed to get the point they needed to avoid the chop from fellow relegation candidates, FC Satmos on Saturday.

Toronto lost 2-1 to Satmos at the SSKB Stadium, a result that threw a vital lifeline to the Selebi-Phikwe side.

The victory means that should Satmos’ appeal against Sankoyo Bush Bucks succeed and they get three points, Notwane who are currently safe from relegation will be forced to face the Cheetahs again to decide who drops to the First Division. Currently, the fallen giants are safe with 31 points, two ahead of Satmos. But, the success of the appeal will mean that Satmos will leapfrog Notwane in the standings.
