Gaborone giants, Notwane are in talks with South African coach, Calvin Peterson as a likely replacement for Innocent Morapedi. The Toronto hot-seat fell vacant a month ago when the club parted ways with Morapedi following a string of poor results.

“The discussions are ongoing to see how we can bring him on board but nothing has been agreed.  The discussions are still at infant stage and Chris (Rabalago) remains the head coach,” Notwane spokesperson, Podi Mooki told Mmegi Sport yesterday. Peterson, who played for Moroka Swallows in the early 1990s is said to be back in South Africa as discussions with Notwane continue.  Following Morapedi’s departure, his assistant, Rabalago took over the reins as a caretaker coach.

Rabalago’s first assignment was against defending champions, Township Rollers. He lost 1-0 in a game where his young troops missed too many chances.
