The just ended 2017 Netball World Youth Cup has forced the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) to postpone its annual awards. The awards are normally held around May or June but due to preparations for the netball competition, the BNSC was forced to postpone the event, with a new date yet to be finalised.

‘The night of the stars’ was pushed to August, but the event might be postponed again to September.

BNSC chairperson, Solly Reikeletseng told Mmegi Sport yesterday that the awards had to be postponed because the country was hosting the netball world cup and it was important for the global tournament to get all the attention.
