FRANCISTOWN: TAFIC’s persistent chase of the summit of the Debswana First Division North league log paid off last weekend when they walloped the troubled FC Satmos 4-0 in an encounter played on Saturday in Selebi Phikwe.

Their weekend win saw them climb into first position on 22 points two points above second-placed BR Highlanders who beat and leapfrogged other title contenders Motlakase Power Dynamos. Matjimenyenga’s fluid attacking display lead by the in-form striker Mooketsi Mampori continues to cause havoc in the first division north. Matjimenyenga are the best scoring team in the league with 21 goals and have conceded nine goals in nine games.

Mampori put up another brilliant display against Satmos powering his side to a 2-0 lead with a first half brace before Mbatshi Machongo and Michael Murirwa rounded off the game with two goals in the second half to make it 4-0.
