Monthusi Magosi was deservedly named best player on Friday night as Kalavango Volleyball Club hosted its first ever annual awards ceremony in Tlokweng. Magosi piped Daniel Seako and Phemelo Lekoko to land the top accolade during the lavish dinner gala hosted at the Oasis Motel.

Magosi, who has had a stellar season, however, missed out on the most disciplined player award to Tlhalefo Mongalelwa. The 22-year-old star said being recognised as his club’s most outstanding player was quite heartening. “It is a great moment for me, a great achievement at my age, it is really an honour,” Magosi said.

He dedicated the award to his father, a former national team player. The former Under-17 national team ace said his utmost aim after landing the award is to break into the national team.
