SELEBI-PHIKWE: Local referees Joshua Bondo and Tebogo Ramocha left this week to officiate in CAF club competitions in Angola and Swaziland respectively.

Referees Committee secretary Marvelous Changare said Ramocha will handle the CAF Confederations Cup tie between Mbabane Highlanders from Swaziland and CAPS United of Zimbabwe. Ramocha will be assisted by Moletlanyi Keoagile and Elijah Masitha. Bondo will travel to Angola where he will officiate in a game between Atletico Petreleos and Sony-de-Ela Nguema of Equatorial Guinea. He will be assisted by Meshack Medupi and Jackson Simon.

“This is a challenge for the referees and it is also an opportunity for them. The selection of the referees was done by the controlling body, CAF and this shows that we have referees who are capable of taking charge of big games. Our referees have also grown and that is why CAF has recognised them.
