GU Suspend Sithole

Gaborone United (GU) dropped a bombshell on Friday by announcing the suspension of their coach Mike 'Dubula Dubula' Sithole for 'professional misconduct'. Assistant coach, Zaahid Jalaal will be handling the team during the suspension of the Zambian.

Sithole is scheduled to appear before the GU Disciplinary Committee (DC) on Wednesday."There are a number of issues which we're not happy with as the club pertaining to the way he handles himself. And this affects those who work with him and we will communicate with you as soon as he has been brought to book," said GU secretary, Kagiso Sebele.

Some sources say the club intends to fire the coach who won them the league title last season after an 18-year hiatus. But Sebele flatly denied any such intentions saying that if they want to sack Sithole, they would do it without hesitation. It is understood that the coach has been at loggerheads with his employers over his demands for more pay.
