High Court judge, Justice Leatile Dambe has granted the Gaborone United (GU) executive committee, led by chairman Rapula Okaile, leave to appeal the court’s March ruling.

In a case in which a group of disgruntled GU supporters led by Molatedi Diole, are challenging the legitimacy of the current executive committee, the court had dismissed the committee’s preliminary points that sought to bar the case from going ahead, into the merits.

The then respondents, who are the GU committee through their lawyer, Lore Morapedi had argued that the case be dismissed because the applicants, being the supporters, did not follow certain procedures.
