Francistown joins football frenzy

FRANCISTOWN: The vuvuzelas are blowing and flags of World Cup teams are flying in Francistown. The South African flag has been a common sight in the town for sometime.

 Hotels and clubs are preparing for brisk business brought about by the World Cup. Cresta Thapama guest relations manager, Letang Selepe said they have prepared two giant screens for the opening game between South Africa and Mexico which kicks off at 4pm today. "We will have two big screens, snacks and drinks for football lovers. Our intention is to give our customers access to the games without charging entrance fee," she said.

Cresta Marang general manager, Charles Lamb said they have big screens for games and patrons will be charged P30. "We have prepared big screens and snacks for our customers and those who will love to watch the World Cup," said Lamb.
Adansonia Hotel sales and marketing executive, Gao Butale said they are ready to host football fans.
