First Division promotion battle heats up

FRANCISTOWN: BR Highlanders will look to continue their stay at the top of the Debswana First Division North (DFDN) table as the title race heats up in the eight-week old campaign.

Highlanders have spent seven of the eight weeks in the driving seat. But they are not sitting comfortably, with Motlakase Power Dynamos and Morupule Wanderers breathing heavily on their necks. The Palapye outfits are two points adrift on position two and three respectively.

Highlanders suffered a second defeat of the season when they fell 2-0 to Wanderers last weekend. Their first defeat was to Sua Flamingoes three weeks ago.
