FRANCISTOWN: Debswana Northern First Division Club has set its eyes on promotion to the Premier League, the team’s coach Seemo ‘16’ Mpatane has said.

Angels gained promotion to the First Division three years back. In their maiden season, Angels finished fourth, before two successive third-place finishes. Football authorities ended the league prematurely last season amid the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) when Angels were in a good position to win the league or at least compete for the promotional play-off.

Mpatane said his team is gunning for promotion to the elite league because they have gained enough experience since they arrived in the First Division. “We have now started to train.
