The internal bickering, which was beginning to erode gains, has been extinguished for now. A transitional committee has been chosen to try and clean the way for the club to ‘return to glory days’.
The committee, as agreed by the two warring camps, includes members from each faction as well as those who are deemed as neutrals by both camps.
While it is widely acknowledged that Khama holds the title of Kgosi, the government’s failure to properly gazette his recognition has raised serious concerns about adherence to legal procedures and the credibility of traditional leadership.
