Botswana Softball Association (BSA) launched the 2018/19 season on Saturday at the National Diamond. The partnership between BSA and BoFINET continued as they signed a three-year deal worth P1,6 million each season.

BSA vice president, Batsetswe Gontlafetse told Sport Monitor that they want to start looking into the structure of the league because what they have at the moment is quantity rather than quality. He said the idea is to have both a minor league and a major league. He said that would improve the quality and attract spectators to the grounds.

“The BoFINET sponsorship is inclusive of officials, Re Ba Bona Ha Programme, infrastructure and youth. He said with the funds they received they intend to build ablution blocks at the National Diamond.
