The Botswana Football Association (BFA) is waiting for the results of the anti doping tests that were conducted on players during the Mascom Top 8 final, which featured BDF XI and Township Rollers early this month.


Anti-doping officials attended the game and conducted random tests on selected players from the two teams after the match.  The captains of the teams could not attend a post match press conference that was arranged after the game because officials said they were monitoring the anti-doping exercise.   Botswana Premier League chief executive officer, Bennet Mamelodi said they are still waiting for the results.  He could not disclose the names and number of players who were tested for banned substances.  “We will release the results when they come.  Right now it is still premature,” Mamelodi said.
