BPL seeks more powers

The Botswana Premier League (BPL) is gearing to fight for more autonomy from the Botswana Football Association (BFA). “It is not about being separate from the BFA.

We just want to be a special member of the association,” BPL chief executive officer, Bennett Mamelodi said at the BPL general assembly last Saturday.

 He said they looked at the German Bundesliga, English Premier League and South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) models as an inspiration to acquire autonomy.
