Botswana to play China in table tennis

Botswana and China will play friendly table tennis matches in Gaborone to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

The Chinese team will feature Chinese players resident in Botswana. The games were supposed to be played last weekend but the Botswana Table Tennis Association (BTTA) failed to secure a venue.

Eight Batswana and eight Chinese top players are expected to take part in both the men and women's competitions. BTTA president, Nathaniel Rakhudu said Batswana players and officials will learn a lot from the Chinese. He hopes that the relationship would lead to greater interaction in future.
