Botswana pepares for World Cup qualifiers

Botswana has started preparations for the Netball World Cup qualifiers in earnest. A 25-member squad is currently in training camp to fight for a place in the team that will be cut to 12.

Botswana hosts the Africa zone qualifiers in September when nine countries will contest for a single slot in the World Cup billed for Sidney, Australia next year. South Africa and Malawi have automatically qualified for the World Cup by virtue of their rankings.

The two African giants are ranked fifth and sixth in the world respectively.
