BONA introduces Super Stars tourney

In a bid to enhance the quality of the national team, the Botswana Netball Association (BONA) has come up with a new tournament, the Super Stars, which will feature six sides.

Spar has donated P300,000 to sponsor the tournament. Players will be selected into the six teams created specifically for the competition. The national team will be joined by Under-20, Under-25 and Over-25 sides plus two select squads; one made up of students and the other from players in the constituency tournaments to take part in the new competition.

BONA introduced the new competition after an extensive bench-marking exercise with Singapore Super League and South African Brutal Fruit tournament.
